Kris was admitted to University of Kansas Medical Center Friday (8/10) morning at 8 a.m.
She’s received 3 rounds of chemo and received 3 (of 8) rounds of full body radiation so far. She’s very tired but is her normal, positive self and is looking forward to getting out of the hospital in 6-8 weeks and getting back home.
This is an especially critical time for Kris. We appreciate your continued support and prayers and encouraging responses on her blog.
Thanks for the update, we are standing with Kris in thoughts and prayers. Love you guys!
Sandy,

Kris, you have been continually on my mind and in my prayers. Everyone I know is praying for a speedy recovery and for the doctors and nurses that care for you to have infinite wisdom to bring you to complete health. You are strong, but I want you to know we are your strength. Lean on us and let us help carry you through this storm. If there is anything I can do or organize to help you and your family please let me know. Waiting on the sidelines to see a post to the blog, just doesn’t seem to be enough even thought it is appreciated. Love you for the strong woman of Faith that you are. God’s blessings. Debbie

It’s great to hear from you. Monday is the big day and we’ll need your continued prayers for me and our family over the next few months. We need my body to embrace this strong cord and transform into my new immune system. I won’t hesitate to let you know how you can help.
Thanks!

Hang in there Kris, I’ve seen truly amazing things accomplished at KU Med. You can do it! You can do it! BTW, why didn’t I ever have wonderful patients like you when I was there?
Thank you. I can do it and have a great support system to help me.
Did they let you have some coffee before the 5am radiation session so you could stay awake at that crazy hour of the day? I like it when my day starts about 7:)
Yep, the little jolt of coffee helped start my day. They didn’t have to secure my head when I would fall asleeep.
